The Franche-Comté region is the second largest producer of beech in France.
Nearly 60% of the Franc-Comtois beech comes from the Haute-Saône. Our beech trees are grown with coppiced among the standing timber, producing wood that is rated highly and increasingly popular in the veneer and furniture markets.
These beeches have gained an international reputation through their high quality. We produce 2,000 m³ of beech quality veneer annually.
