The story of the Cenci sawmill began in 1942, when Mr. Georges Cenci became a forester. In 1978 the mill moved to a 20 hectare site in Ronchamp.
In 1983 George Cenci's sons, Noël and Patrice , took over the management of the company and oriented the production to large export markets (today, over 80% of our production is exported to a dozen countries).
In 2005, we purchased a sawmill in Vellefaux (near the town of Vesoul in Haute-Saône) that produces 15 000 m3 of oak per year.
Over the last ten years, the Cenci company has begun a modernization process:
- installation of a cutting line (GRECON)
- creation of a dried wood edging workshop
- installation of 11 dryers and 2 ovens fuelled by wood waste (2.5 MKW)
- installation of a pre-dryer with a capacity of 1000 m³
- construction of 15,000 m² of storage buildings
- installation of a flooring production unit with two production lines
- construction of a solid wood panel and glulam production unit
Our over 60 years of experience enable us to meet a growing demand for sophisticated products. |
